कौन है करनल सोफिया कुरैशी?
Sophia Qureshi का जन्म गुजरात के वडोदरा शहर में हुआ था। उनके पिता का नाम ताजुद्दीन कुरैशी है, और उनकी मां का नाम हलीमा कुरेशी है। कुरैशी परिवार तीन जेनरेशन से भारतीय सेवा में अपना योगदान देता हुआ आ रहा है। उनके दादा और पिता दोनों ही भारत की सेवा में अपना योगदान दे चुके हैं। शायद यही वजह रही होगी कि सोवियत कुरैशी के खून में इतना अनुशासन और राष्ट्र के प्रति सेवा है।
भारतीय सेवा की सिंग्रल कौर की अफसर सोफिया कुरैशी ने 18 नाम के एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय सी अभ्यास में भारत की ट्रेनिंग टुकड़ी में काम किया। आपको बता दे की करनाल सोफिया कुरैशी एक सैन्य परिवार से ताल्लुक रखती है। उनके दादाजी भारतीय सेवा में सेवारत थे। आपको बता दे कि यह जो अभ्यास है वह आसियान प्लस देश के बीच होता है, जिसमें कई देशों की सीन शामिल होती है।
सबसे बड़ी बात तो यह है कि, सोफिया कुरैशी इस जिम्मेदारी को निभाने वाली भारतीय महिला अधिकारी बनी।
साल 2016 में दक्षिणी सेवा के कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल बिपिन रावत ने करनाल सोफिया के काम की सरहाना भी करी थी। उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय सेना सभी सैनिकों को, चाहे वे महिला हो या पुरुष हो बराबर का मौका देती है।
आपको बता दे की सोफिया कुरैशी ने भारतीय सेवा के मैकेनाइज्ड इन्फेंट्री के एक अवसर से शादी की थी।
कहां से ली शिक्षा?
Sophia Qureshi ने केंद्र विद्यालय, EME से अपनी स्कूलिंग पुरी की थी। इसके बाद कुरैशी ने एमएस यूनिवर्सिटी से सन 1992 से 1995 बैच से BACC केमिस्ट्री और बायोकेमेस्ट्री में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट भी किया। सोफिया यहां ही नहीं रुकी, उन्होंने इसके बाद पीएचडी भी कारी, हालांकि उन्होंने यह बीच में ही छोड़ दिया और भारतीय सेवा में शामिल हो गए। यह बड़े गर्व की बात है कि, कुरैशी परिवार तीन पीढियां से देश की सेवा करता आ रहा है, अब सोफिया कुरैशी ने अपने परिवार का नाम और ऊंचा कर दिया।
कब से शुरू करी देश की सेवा?
करनल Sophia Qureshi ने साल 1999 में भारतीय सेना ज्वाइन करी। सबसे पहले उन्होंने चेन्नई की ऑफिसर्स ट्रेनिंग अकादमी से ट्रेनिंग ली और उसके बाद कुछ सालों में ही लेफ्टिनेंट के रूप में सेवा में अपना कदम रखा।
साल 2006 में उन्होंने संयुक्तराष्ट्र (UN) के शांति कमीशन के तहत कांगो में military observer के रूप में काम किया।
2010 से लगातार वह शांति अभियानों में काम करती रही और इसी से जुड़ी रही।
आपको बता दे की, पंजाब बॉर्डर पर “ऑपरेशन पराक्रम” के दौरान उनकी सेवा के लिए कुरैशी को जनरल ऑफिसर (कमांडेड- इन -चीफ) , GOC-in-C का सम्मान भी प्राप्त किया। सिर्फ इतना ही नहीं बल्कि , उन्होंने उत्तर पूर्व भारत में भयंकर बाढ़ के दौरान राहत कार्य में अपना महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया। इसके बाद सोफिया कुरैशी को सिंगल ऑफिसर इन चीफ की तरफ से प्रशंसा पत्र भी मिला।
दुनिया के सामने रखी ऑपरेशन सिंदूर की कहानी!
छतरपुर जिले के नौगांव शहर के चच्चा कॉलोनी में स्थित एक घर में रात में पाकिस्तान में फायरिंग हुई थी। इस एयर स्ट्राइक को लेकर भारत में काफी खुशी का माहौल था। पूरे देश के साथ चाचा कॉलोनी में पाकिस्तान में जो सेवा की गतिविधियां हुई थी उसके बाद काफी ज्यादा आतिशबाजियां देखने को मिली थी, इसका कारण यह था कि भारत में पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ जवाबी कार्रवाई करी। प्रेस के सामने पूरी घटना रखने वाली करनाल सोफिया कुरैशी का संबंध इसी चच्चा कॉलोनी मैं स्थित घर से है। बताया जा रहा है किसी घर में कुरैशी के चाचा चाचा और भाई और भाभियों रहते हैं।
भारतीय सेवा ने पाकिस्तान में 9 अलग-अलग ठिकानों में एयर स्ट्राइक करके जवाबी हमला दिया था। इस पूरे हमले की जानकारी देने के लिए सी ने बुधवार की सुबह प्रेस को ब्रीफ किया था। इसी प्रेस को ब्रीफ करने के दौरान सेवा में करनाल सोफिया कुरैशी और विंग कमांडर व्योमिका सिंह के साथ विदेश सचिव विक्रम जी भी मौजूद थे। उन्होंने पूरे हमले की जानकारी विस्तार से दी।
